Francis Gary Powers, whose U-2 spy plane was allegedly shot down over the Soviet Union on May 1, 1960, will be posthumously awarded the Silver Star next week.

What really happened is that there was going to be a summit between President Eisenhower and Premier Krushchev about ending the Cold War before the massive build-up of nuclear bombs and ICBMs took place. And Powers was flying for the CIA. They merely replaced his fuel gauge, under-loaded the gas tanks; and he ran out of gas. He was not shot down from high altitude—from which he would not have survived.
This was revealed by Air Force Col. Fletcher Prouty (who was played by the Donald Sutherland character in JFK.) Prouty also stated that the 3 tramps in Dallas on November 22, 1963 were controlled by, and briefly seen walking by, Gen. Edward G. Lansdale. Lansdale, an insidious intel creature (even according to Prouty) was an “advisor” in Vietnam, in the 1950s.
Faux liberal, and faux Pentagon Papers “exposer” Daniel Ellsberg revealed who his great buddy was in Vietnam: Edward G. Lansdale. Ellsberg would later claim his first day working for the NSA was during the bogus North Vietnamese “attack” on U.S. destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin that was used as an excuse for the War on Vietnam.
Yes, everything is a lie, and everything has a horrific, ulterior motive. Pilot Powers was made to come down so as to sabotage the early end to the Cold War. Krushchev has even been revealed to have had a British MI6 mistress at that time–likely his controller.
Eisenhower did not have the guts to fight this, and only made his warning speech against the military-industrial complex when he had hours left as president. Kennedy took them all on.
Powers later became a helicopter pilot and traffic broadcaster in Los Angeles, and died in a 1977 crash. One wonders…he sure knew too much.
